How Our Network Works
Who You Talk To
You talk to an independent concrete provider. Not Publishingroom Concrete. We make the introduction. The provider handles the estimate and the work.
Each provider runs their own business. Each sets their own schedule and price.
What Happens on the Call
Expect a few plain questions. What do you want built? How big is the space? How old is the house?
The provider may ask about your soil, your drainage and any past patches. They may suggest a site visit. That is normal for concrete.
What to Ask a Provider
Keep this list handy. Ask before you pour.
- What will you check under the old surface first?
- How thick will the slab be, and what base goes under it?
- How will water drain away from the house?
- How do you handle frost, hail and spring flooding?
- Where will control joints go?
- Will you give me a written quote?
- Who handles permits, if any are needed?
- For stamped concrete, how is it sealed?
On an older home, add this one. What if you find something unexpected?
You Are in Control
You pick the provider. You can say no. You can ask for more than one estimate. There is no obligation.
Compare the quotes line by line. A low number can leave out base work or drainage. Check the base first.
